Preserve the Best of Cape Coral

The Cape Coral Preservation PAC (CCPPac) is committed to preserving Cape Coral as a livable community for its residents. CCPPac opposes the overdevelopment and wasteful spending supported by the current Mayor and City Council.

Save Jaycee Park

The city council and mayor want to turn this nature-lovers’ pocket of serenity into “a desired waterfront destination” with food trucks, a bar, boat slips, an amphitheater and a view-blocking concrete barrier along the river. And, they want the city to borrow an additional $12 million to destroy this beloved park.
CCPPac is sponsoring an initiative to put the status of Jaycee Park on the ballot. This initiative will force the city council to maintain the current character of the park as a natural green space and neighborhood park. Permanent commercial structures like bars, cafe's, food trucks and an amphitheater shall be prohibited. The natural shoreline shall not be replaced with a concrete seawall and boat slips.

Rescind Mayor and Council "Stipends"

The City Council awarded themselves monthly stipends of $5,000 for the Mayor and $3,333 for the Council Members, doubling their salaries, retroactive to October, 2023. These stipends are excessive and improper and must be rescinded.
